Portfolio Manager, Aegis Value Fund
Scott Barbee founded the Aegis Value Fund and has served as Portfolio Manager since its inception in 1998. He is also the owner of Aegis Financial Corporation and the Portfolio Manager for the Aegis High Yield Fund. Prior to Aegis, Scott worked as an analyst with Simmons & Company, and later Donald Smith & Company. He received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1997 and holds undergraduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from Rice University. Scott is a member of the Atlas Economic Research Institute Board of Advisors and is a Director of the Donald and Paula Smith Family Foundation.
