Thomas D. Gallagher is a Senior Managing Director of International Strategy and Investment Group Inc. (ISI). (ISI specializes in economic and political research; the firm was founded by perennial Institutional Investor #1 All-Star economist, Ed Hyman.) ISIďż˝s policy research team in Washington, which is run by Mr. Gallagher, analyzes the implications of global political developments for financial markets.

Tom Gallagher has been ranked in the Institutional Investorďż˝s Washington research category for each of the past 12 years, and was ranked #1 in 3 of the last 4 years. Prior to joining ISI in 1999, Tom spent 13 years at Lehman Brothers and 8 years in the federal government.

Tom is a regular panelist on ďż˝Louis Rukeyserďż˝s Wall Street.ďż˝ He serves on the Community First Bankshares Board of Directors, the University Of South Dakota Foundation Board Of Trustees, and the Editorial Advisory Board of Mental Floss magazine.

Tom earned a BS in Economics and Political Science from the University of South Dakota (1976) and a Masters of Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University (1978). He is a CFA charterholder .
